If you find that you will not be able to complete your assignment, please default as soon as you are sure, as this allows us to find someone else to create a gift for your recipient. No penalty is attached to defaulting before the due date.

But before they do, a few reminders from the mods...

  • All requests and offers must contain at least one character tag. Worldbuilding tags are not matched on - matching will ignore any request or offer with only worldbuilding tags.
  • We will not match on characters not in the tagset. Please don’t use the text box to request or offer a character or group that was not nominated. There is no good way for us to match such scenarios.
  • Character A, Character B is NOT the same as Group: Character A/Character B or Group: Character A & Character B. As an example, if you offer/request Fingon, Maedhros hoping to draw, write, or receive Fingon/Maedhros, there is no guarantee you match with someone willing. You may end up with someone who had only Fingon OR Maedhros and did not request/offer them together. Group: Fingon/Maedhros is in the tagset, please use it if that is what you have in mind.
  • If you offer “Any Character”, please be sure you mean it - you are willing to write/draw any character in the tagset for that fandom. We will not redo matching if you discover the requests in your assignment are not to your liking.
  • We expect to close signups promptly at 8PM Sunday so we can start matching and still get to sleep at a reasonable time. If you know you want to sign up - or you have signed up but still intend to edit your signup - please don’t wait until 7:59PM Sunday!
