Last Call for Sign-ups!

Reminder that sign-ups close in just over six hours from time of posting!

Please don't leave it until the last minute - we have over 1600 tags in the tagset this round, and some fandoms have over 125 character tags. You are probably going to need a few minutes to sort through them!

As a reminder, the following fandoms require mod approval to offer Any Character:

• The Silmarillion
• Crossovers
• LotR books
• Hobbit books
• Hobbit movies
• LotR movies
• Rings of Power
• LOTRO
• Adventures of Tom Bombadil
• Book of Lost Tales
• Smith of Wootton Major

For the fandoms listed in bold, meaning there are over 125 character tags in the tagset, the mods want to hear why you feel you can tackle any assignment that may result - if you do not give that explanation in your offer, you need to message us in some form, or the offer will not be approved.

Please either comment on here OR email the mods with questions - we are still not reliably getting notifications about asks on Tumblr.

Check your inboxes, assignments have been sent. 😄 We hope you like yours and are excited to create for it!

Anyone who has a placeholder Dear Creator letter, please make sure it is finished and unlocked before Thursday. (The first thing most creators do is look at that letter - if you don’t have it done now, get it done ASAP!)

Assignments are due Sunday, 15 October 2023, 8:00 PM UTC

Minimum requirement is 500 words (authors) or a nice sketch on clean, unlined paper (artists).

We know life happens - if it looks like you will for whatever reason be unable to complete your assignment, please default as soon as you are sure and let the mods know. This allows us as much time as possible to arrange a pinch hit. There is no penalty for defaulting before the due date.

Any pinch hits will be posted here as soon as we know about them.

Treats - meaning extra gifts - are always welcome, and anyone can create them, signed up or not. If you see a prompt you love and would like to create something for it, go for it! (Treats are not subject to the minimum requirements and have no deadline.) If you think you might like to treat, you can find all the requests in the Requests Summary, and the collection is here.
