If you need an extension of a couple of days, please ask, but be very sure you will finish your gift by then. Defaulting post-deadline has consequences.
If you feel you will not be able to finish what you are working on, please default before the deadline.
You can edit or add to your fic between the deadline and reveals, so don't worry if it's unbetaed or something like that. We will not be reading the stories until reveals, just checking to be sure they are there.
