Nominations Clarifications

Thanks for all the nominations, the tag set is really shaping up to be wonderful this year!

There's a few tags that I'm having to reject, and should be resubmitted:

-- Please re-nominate "Group: Éowyn/Tauriel" under Crossover Fandom.

-- Maglor does not belong in LOTR, please re-nominate him in Silm.

It would in general be extremely helpful if you could append the name of the fandom after each character or group you nominate. This helps prevent wandering tags! I'm using (Hobbit book) for The Hobbit, (Hobbit movies) for the movie series, (LOTR book) for LOTR, (LOTR movies) for the movie series, and (Silm) for the Silmarillion. Also (Father Christmas Letters) for the Father Christmas Letters.

Haven't had any noms for them yet but will be using (SoM game) for the Shadow of Mordor games, (SoWM) for Smith of Wootton Major, (LbN) for Leaf by Niggle, (FGoH) for Farmer Giles of Ham, and (THoBBS) for The Homecoming of Beorhtnoth Beorhthelm’s Son.

As the tag set increases, you may find that I am having to append increasingly bizarre things to the end, please ignore these, they are just to prevent the tags from wandering.

Please, please, please help me out by pointing out tags which have wandered, misspellings, or just plain incorrect things which have somehow ended up in the tag set! I'm away on holiday just now, so I might be a bit slow in responding to everything, but the tag set will be in good shape by the time it closes on the 19th.

Wandered tags: half of the tags in the Hobbit book section are movieverse and tagged movieverse.

I have a question. I see that Annatar is nominated under the Silm. Should that character tag be interpreted specifically as Sauron in Eregion, and if someone wants Sauron doing anything else in the First or Second Ages (like in Numenor or in the Lay of Leithian stuff), he should be nominated separately as Sauron?

Yes. Happy to accept Sauron separately for the rest of his First and Second Age shenanigans, but Annatar is specifically about his undercover gig in Eregion.

Sadly, I think you're going to have to keep a close eye on the Hobbit book. More movie noms have ended up in it.

Wandering tags:

-Bilbo Baggins (Hobbit Movies) has sneaked into The Lord of the Rings (Movies) and The Lord of the Rings book.
-Original Orc Character(s) are also wandering, though I don't know where they were originally nominated. They are currently invading The Hobbit (Jackson Movies), LOTR books and movies both, and the Silm.
-Both Gaffer Gamgee and Hamfast Gamgee are currently in The Lord of the Rings - J. R. R. Tolkien, so I suspect one version of him is wandering. Hamfast Gamgee is also in The Lord of the Rings (Movies), so maybe that's where he came from?
-I think the Easterling(s) may also be wandering between LOTR book and the Silm.
-Thorin Oakenshield (Hobbit Movies) has gotten lost and wandered into the Hobbit book.

I think I'll leave these as they are, as Éothéod, IIRC, refers to the ancestors of the Rohirrim before they settled permanently in Rohan.
