I think the Aromantics Wiki has a good definition of queerplatonic. It is, in brief, a relationship that is more than friendship without being sexual or romantic.

Romantic friendship would be a friendship that is conceived of like a romance without being sexual, i.e., overwhelming emotions, romantic-style gifts, gestures of affection that go beyond friendship, but with no intention to begin or have a sexual relationship.
